Divisions of Play — Wade Hampton Little League
Wade Hampton Little League (WHLL) offers Spring and Fall seasons for children ages 4 to 13, with divisions in baseball and softball designed to match each player's age and skill level.
All players ages 4–6 begin in our T-Ball division, focused on building a strong foundation. Players age 7 and older may select either baseball or softball (softball is currently offered for girls only). All baseball divisions are coed.
Below is a quick breakdown of each division:
T-Ball
League Ages 4–6
Perfect for first-time players, the T-Ball division introduces the basic concepts of baseball and softball in a fun, encouraging environment.

Batters hit exclusively off a tee using a Sof-T baseball

All players bat each inning; small roster sizes for more playtime

No scores, no standings, no evaluations

Weeknight games typically begin between 5 and 6 PM
Coach Pitch
League Ages 6–8
This division introduces structured play while continuing to develop key baseball skills. A great entry point for both new and experienced young athletes.

Minors
League Ages 8–10
In the Minors division, players begin pitching and catching while building upon the fundamentals they've learned in earlier divisions.

Majors
League Ages 10–13
Majors is the most advanced division of our Little League program, closely resembling full-scale baseball or softball.
Evaluations are required for all players
Players focus on advanced skills and game strategy
